Liam is a licensed professional counselor, licensed associate marriage and family therapist. Liam has been a licensed therapist for the past 2.5 years but has been working in the mental health field for the past 10 years. Liam is trained in play therapy techniques, relationship and family based therapy, and has experience working with drug and alcohol recovery. While Liam works with a variety of ages and demographics, he specializes in working with young elementary ages children, college aged young adults, and couples. Liam gravitates towards narrative therapy approaches. This can look like deconstructing the past in a way that is less emotionally invasive. It can look like using fictional characters as guideposts and learning tools. This is particularly fun when movies, TV shows, books, and even Dungeons and Dragons are folded in as relevant examples. At the end of the day, he wants his clients to feel empowered and capable of writing their story their way. When not doing therapy, Liam enjoys spending time with his family. He and his wife of 8 years take every opportunity they can to play with their two kids, age 4 and 1. You can also catch him riding his bike on the trails with his Border Collie and Australian Shepherd. Liam also enjoys working on any of the dozen active woodworking and arts/crafts projects he has lying around.
