Ashley Cox, LPC, Registered Play Therapist Director of Mental Health and Administration / Mental Health Therapist
Ashley is currently a licensed professional counselor and registered play therapist. She received her Master’s degree at John Brown University in Community Counseling with an emphasis in Play Therapy. Ashley has been working in the mental health field since 2010 and has been a licensed counselor since 2014. Ashley has worked in a variety of treatment settings including outpatient, residential, and group homes. Ashley believes that her greatest strength as a therapist is being empathetic and patient.
Ashley specializes in working with children and their families and is infant mental health certified. Ashley is trained in a variety of techniques including play therapy, EMDR, TF-CBT, and technology assisted counseling. Ashley works with a variety of concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, adjustment concerns, and anger/aggression. Ashley enjoys using play therapy with all ages and believes in the power of play to help children communicate their inner thoughts and feelings.
When not at work, Ashley enjoys crafting, true crime documentaries, and being a fur mom to her 11 year old Chihuahua, Lily. She also enjoys spending time in nature and hiking.
