Brooke is currently a licensed professional counselor. She graduated with a Master’s in Science from the University of Arkansas in 2016 with a Certification in Rehabilitation Counseling and gained State Counseling Licensure in 2017. She has worked in the mental health field since 2012 as a Mental Health Professional, Activity Coordinator, Patient Advocate, Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, and Mental Health Therapist. Brooke specializes in working with adults and adolescents. She is trained in TF-CBT and is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC). Brooke believes that as a therapist she is there to help guide the individual through their journey by providing counseling, coaching, support, and encouragement along the way. She is a realist, direct, empathetic, and compassionate. She utilizes various therapeutic techniques to engage the individual and to assist the individual in their journey towards acceptance, healing, and reaching their personalized goals.
During her undergraduate studies, she resided in Bangkok, Thailand where she gained her Bachelor of Psychology with certificates in Clinical Mental Healthcare and Diversity Awareness. There she volunteered regularly at the orphanage and worked at the University of Maryland University College Campus at the Thai Embassy to help adults further their education. Brooke also served in the United States Navy which provided an opportunity to experience various cultures. She has used her military training and life experiences to assist individuals with working through trauma, maladaptive behaviors, and mood disorders. Brooke is an identical mirror twin and a mother of a beautiful young lady. She enjoys spending time with family, friends, watching psychological thrillers, playing sports and other outdoor adventures.
